Our check-up is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics covering the physical & emotional wellbeing of your child. We make sure your child is healthy, identify potential issues and if necessary, ensure he or she receives early treatment. If your child plays a High School Sport, the physical will cover the sports physical requirement.
We bring world-class Doctors and Nurses to your child’s school so that you don’t have to take time off of work to bring them to an appointment. The exam takes only 20 minutes out of your child’s school day. The best part: the exam is covered by your Medicaid plan at no cost to families.
Healthy Schools has many years of experience empowering public school youth to be their best. We know that teens who focus on their health are more prepared to do well in school, so we work hard to ensure that our team of nurses provides quality, comprehensive check-ups.
The check-up includes:
- Vision screening
- Hearing screening
- BMI and vitals screening
- Medical history review
- Nutrition Counseling
- Lab testing
- Covers sports physical requirement
- Mental health assessment
- Health education
- Referrals when needed
HOW WE DO IT
1. SIGN UP
Sign your child up for a check-up online, or by phone by calling 844-482-7770.
We work with your school district to schedule convenient exam times during school hours.
At your child’s scheduled time, he or she will be excused from class for the 20 minute check-up.
After the check-up is completed, your child will receive a form summarizing the check-up results, as well as educational materials to take home.
